 Program Overview

Sessions feature a variety of important topics for the practicing dermatologist.  Sessions will also present the latest update on general medical literature as it pertains to dermatology with a focus on how this information can be used in every day dermatology practice.  Other sessions include the latest ophthalmologic literature and how it affects dermatologists, forensic dermatology, and other topics of interest to individual dermatologists.  Original scientific work is presented by the Resident Research Award winner on Cutaneous T Cell Lymphomas.

Program Objectives

 The participant should be able to:

1.  Identify Compare and contrast Dermatology practice in the USA and other countries. 
2. Identify and distinguish the unique aspects of dermatology practice that relate to every day practice in the USA and other countries.  At the end of this activity the physician should be able to integrate this information for use in the every day practice of dermatology in the USA.
3. Recognize and apply information from the review of medical literature to every day practice as it relates to dermatology.  The participant should be able to assess and interpret new information from non-dermatologic literature and translate this information as it applies to common dermatologic diseases.
4. Assess patient needs for the use of new biologic agents for dermatologic diseases.  Evaluate patient needs and requirements for biologic agents and properly use the agents appropriately in individual patients. 
5. Recall and apply information from other specialties (ophthalmology) as it relates to dermatology.

The University Of Oklahoma College Of Medicine designates this educational activity for a maximum of 16 AMA PRA Category 1 Credits ™. Physicians should only claim credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity.
